Two thoughts sprung to mind immediately upon reading this. The first – “that’s true!” The second – “I wonder if that’s true?”
The first reflection – an invitation to see the breakdowns in my life as a portal to breakthroughs, and this I do absolutely know to be true because I have experienced it time and again. We don’t much like it, but we learn by getting it wrong. If only we can approach this with interest, curiosity and the open-eyed wonder of our childhood, we might find the treasure in our mistakes more easily.
The second thought has left me intrigued. What treasure have I missed because I covered up my stumbling with feelings of shame, only to sweep it all under the carpet rather than don my treasure-hunting gear and celebrate the potential adventure?
