I love this quote for its thought-provoking impact. It is not up to others, or outside circumstances, to protect us and make us feel safe and “carpeted”. We can make ourselves walk with comfort and care on the earth by sorting out anything that irks us, and not expect anyone or thing to have to do that work for us.
