Grief and Gratitude are kindred souls ...

I am so grateful for getting older. Getting older is also given to us by grace, I believe. It means that there have been, at least in my experience, many losses: a long walk with grief. And there have also been innumerable wonders – a source of so much gratitude, wonder and awe. And so, getting older – if we allow it, is a masterclass in understanding the beauty of transience, in feeling in our bodies the relief of the out-breath.
