"The willingness to consider possibility requires a tolerance of uncertainty."- Rachel Naomi Remen

I’m often struck by the tone of absolute certainty with which I hear people pronounce predictions of the future, often steeped in doom and gloom.

'Things are not looking good' they begin with, before advising leaving the property market as soon as possible, or some such other unsolicited advice!

Rachel Naomi Remen's quote made me think. Because the truth is – and there aren't that many "the truth" things you'll here me say –  we don't know.

I love the idea that to dwell in the presence of what's possible we need to cultivate our capacity for being with not knowing, resting there.  Eyes open, hearts open, ears open for what we don't know, and don't even know we don't know, the knowing of which could transform our experience of life.
